2. Diagnostic-First & Estimate-Based Workflow

• Many issues require professional troubleshooting before we can confirm the cause and a reliable solution.
• When applicable, we perform an evaluation/diagnostic first, then provide an estimate or recommended next steps.
• You decide whether to approve or decline the proposed work after receiving the estimate (when required).
• If troubleshooting indicates additional time, parts, off-site service, or specialized work is needed, we will pause and request approval before proceeding.

3. Scheduling, Dispatching, and Appointment Requirements

• You agree to provide accurate contact details, service address (if applicable), and a clear description of the issue.
• You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the device/work area at the scheduled time.
• Delays, reschedules, or cancellation terms are governed by our Refunds & Cancellations Policy.
• If we arrive and cannot access the location/device, the visit may be treated as a no-show and fees may be retained.

4. Customer Responsibilities

• Accuracy: Provide truthful information about the device’s symptoms, history, and any prior repairs .
• Backups: You are responsible for backing up important data unless you purchase a backup/data service from us.
• Credentials/Access: If login access is required to test functionality, you agree to provide it (or create a temporary password) when requested.
• Safe environment: You must ensure a safe workspace (no hazards, aggressive pets, unsafe conditions, or illegal activity).

5. Data, Software, and Device Handling

• Repairs and diagnostics may involve rebooting systems, running tests, updating firmware/drivers, reinstalling software, or replacing parts.
• Some repairs may require wiping/reinstalling an operating system or restoring settings to complete service—this will be communicated when known/required.
• Data services (including recovery attempts) may be outcome-uncertain. We do not guarantee successful recovery unless explicitly stated in writing.
• Devices may be transported for off-site evaluation/repair only with your authorization (when applicable).

6. Parts, Third-Party Products, and Supplier Limitations

• Some jobs require parts, accessories, or supplier-fulfilled components. Availability and timelines may vary.
• Special-order or non-returnable parts may create non-refundable obligations once ordered.
• Manufacturer/supplier warranties may apply to certain parts and are subject to their terms.

7. Workmanship Warranty (Repair Warranty)

• CRQ provides a limited workmanship warranty on eligible repairs (commonly 30 days unless stated otherwise in writing).
• If you report the same issue within the workmanship warranty period, we will schedule a re-check to determine coverage.
• If the issue is confirmed to be related to our workmanship, we will correct it at no additional labor charge (parts handled per supplier/manufacturer terms where applicable).
• If the issue is unrelated (new damage, unrelated failure, liquid damage after service, malware reinfection, third-party modifications, etc.), it may be treated as a new service request and a new evaluation may apply.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

• We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, hidden damage, liquid damage, corrosion, or issues beyond what was requested/approved.
• Electronics repairs can involve inherent risk, especially on older, damaged, or previously repaired devices.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, CRQ is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including loss of profits or loss of data).

9. Queens Computer Shop® (Retail/Resale Division)

Queens Computer Shop® (“QCS”) is the retail/resale, inventory, and hardware division associated with CRQ. Some QCS purchases, trade-ins, buybacks, certified pre-owned devices, or product-related transactions may have separate return/refund or warranty terms disclosed at the time of purchase/transaction.

10. Intellectual Property

All website content, branding, logos, images, and written materials are owned by CRQ (or licensed to CRQ) and may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without written permission.

11. Privacy

Refunds, Cancellations & Warranty Policy

This policy explains how cancellations, rescheduling, deposits/fees, and refunds are handled for Computer Repair Queens (“CRQ”). It also notes that certain Queens Computer Shop® (“QCS”) transactions may have separate return/refund terms depending on the product and transaction type.

1. Appointment Cancellations & Rescheduling

• Free cancellation window: You may cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice.
• Late cancellations: Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a late-cancellation fee of up to 50% of the scheduled service/dispatch amount, because technician time and travel are reserved.
• No-shows / no access: If a technician arrives and cannot access the location or the device is unavailable, the visit may be treated as a no-show and fees may be retained.

2. Diagnostic / Evaluation Fees

• Diagnostic/evaluation fees cover technician time, dispatch, and professional assessment.
• Once service has started (including dispatch/arrival or completed evaluation), these fees are generally non-refundable.
• Fairness exception: If we fail to provide an estimate within a reasonable timeframe after evaluation (or another issue clearly on our side), we may offer a partial refund or credit at our discretion, except where prohibited by law.

3. Deposits, Pre-Authorizations, and Payments

• Some jobs may require deposits or pre-authorization depending on service type, parts required, or device condition. Any such requirements are disclosed before work begins.
• If you approve a quote and later decline after parts have been ordered or work has begun, you may be responsible for non-returnable parts, supplier restocking fees, and labor already performed.

4. Workmanship Warranty & “Come Back” Visits

• If you report the same issue within the workmanship warranty period, we will schedule a re-check to determine whether the issue is covered.
• If confirmed as covered workmanship, we will correct it at no additional labor charge (parts handled per supplier/manufacturer terms where applicable).
• If the issue is not related to our workmanship (new damage, unrelated failure, third-party changes, malware reinfection, etc.), the visit may be treated as a new service request and a new evaluation may apply.

5. Data Recovery & Data Services

Data recovery and certain data services are effort-based and outcome-uncertain. Refunds are generally not provided once work has begun, because time and expertise are expended regardless of outcome. We may offer partial credits in rare cases at our discretion.

6. Queens Computer Shop® (QCS) Purchases, Trade-Ins, and Buybacks

• Products purchased from QCS may have separate return/refund rules based on product type (new vs. certified pre-owned), condition, warranty status, and manufacturer/supplier policies.
• Trade-in and buyback transactions are typically final once completed, subject to verification of ownership and device condition.
• QCS may void or reverse a trade-in if a device is later determined to be stolen, locked, misrepresented, or unsafe.

7. Refund Method, Proof, and Processing

• Approved refunds (if any) are issued to the original payment method when possible. Processing times vary by payment provider.
• We may require proof of purchase, service records, and/or return of any provided parts/accessories before issuing a refund.

8. Chargebacks and Disputes

• If you have a concern, contact us first so we can attempt to resolve it quickly.
• Chargebacks submitted after services are rendered and documented may be challenged with service logs, communications, and technician notes.
